The congregation began meeting in homes in September 1971, and officially constituted into a church on February 1, 1972. The first services were held at the present site in November 1972. Since that time four separate phases of building construction have been completed. The most recent phase was our beautiful new sanctuary, which was dedicated to the glory of God on March 1, 1998. It was completely debt free from the day it was occupied.

From a charter membership of 74, Faith now has over 560 resident members, and a Sunday School enrollment of 230. The unified budget total for 1977 was $44,670.00. The 1999-2000 annual budget totaled $169,300.00. Of that, over 20% is distributed to various mission endeavors. From its beginning, Faith has been a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Big Hatchie Baptist Association.
