A Little History of "Saved By Grace" Gospel Quartet

Let's start with Shelley Woods. GOD has blessed her with the ability to do, shall we say, 'The Doo-Whop.....Diddies'! She attends Rosemark Full Gospel Church in Rosemark, TN. Her Granddad Bro. 'Shorty' Rose is the Pastor there, but due to illness her Daddy Bro. Jimmy Bridges is filling in as interim Pastor. Her Daddy & Momma sing with us sometimes. It's always a pleasure to spend time with them!

Christa Rice usually sings the Lead for "Saved By Grace"! I guess that shouldn't come as a real shocker........her Dad sang lead with another group from years gone by! His name was Tommy Hall of "The Laymen". She attends Walnut Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Garland, TN. I know what you're thinking! Nope, it's not the 'typical' Cumberland Presbyterian Church. They don't mind some shouting, clapping hands or saying "AMEN"!!

Becky DeLashmit sings low Alto. GOD is bringing her out of her 'shell' as far as singing goes! She was brought up in Church at Clopton United Methodist Church in Covington, TN. I've heard her tell about choir practice after Church on Wednesday nights; and how she and her Momma would sing those blessed old hymns on the way home! I wish I could have met her, but I believe I'll get to when The LORD returns!!

Paul DeLashmit sings Baritone and a 'little' Bass. As you may have guessed, Becky is my wife (20 years come the 23rd of September 09/23/86)! I consider myself to be truly blessed.........I get to sing with 3 of the sweetest ladies in Southern Gospel Music; {nah, they didn't threaten me to say that}! My Momma & Daddy took me and my brother to Church from birth. The name of that little church my wife & I attend is Antioch Baptist Church just outside of Munford, TN (just a little ways from the 'fire-tower'). I know Christa, I say it a little different than how it's spelt!! (You'ld have to be there!)

I don't want to forget one of the people who works 'behind the scenes'! That would be 'Big' Dave Rice. He's Christa's husband and our SoundMan! Maybe we're a wee bit prejudice, but we feel he's The Best soundman around! Dave is the leadman at a Construction firm. 'Big' Dave, Thanks for all the hard work you do for our group! Dave hears the little things most people would probably miss when doing the sound. GOD has given him a special talent, for which we're grateful!

You know we just can't do this without The LORD GOD!!! He brought us together back in January of '05. We wanted a group name that told who we are, thus "Saved By Grace" was chosen. We serve The Living GOD! He's so awesome and He allows us to sing praises to Him! We get to do something we truly love!

Our goal is threefold. First, we want to honor, glorify and praise The LORD! Next, we want to encourage and uplift the Saints. Even a child of GOD gets down and out occasionally! Last but not least of which is to tell the Lost ones about Jesus Christ, our blessed Savior, Who Loves you, you, you and YOU, Too!!!!!! We want to see people come and give their hearts and lives to Him! If we see one person receive Jesus into their hearts, it will be worth all the work. Each time we set up the equipment, each Church we travel to no matter where it's at or the size or the denomination. Even when one of us gets sick and really doesn't feel like singing..... GOD gives us the strength to go forward and give our best effort. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phil. 4:13

GOD gave us His very BEST, when He sent His Son JESUS into this ol' world........to be beaten, mocked, spit upon, then crucified, and was buried..........but, Praise GOD, JESUS didn't stay in that tomb, HE Arose and He's coming again!!!

Would you do us one favor? Please, would you pray for us? May GOD richly bless you as you follow Him! If you have never accepted His Son into your heart, please don't turn away from Him! Run into His Loving arms! You will never be the same! He wants you to spend eternity with Him in Heaven!!!!!
